Commander of the diving squad in the Republic Headquarters of the Territorial Defense of Montenegro from 1990 to 1992;
Commander of the Diving Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro from 1992 to 2002;
Director of the Regional Center for Underwater Demining and Diver Training from 2002.

In Rome, Italy, on the Tiber River in 2005, the World Organization for the Protection of Seas and Oceans “MAREVIVO” organized the event “FIVE EVENINGS FOR THE SEA” under the auspices of the Italian Ministry for Environment and Territory Protection, which was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Convention from Barcelona on the protection of seas and oceans, awarded the first prize to Vesko Mijajlović “for a humanitarian mission and contribution in underwater demining and protection of citizens from underwater mines”, and was presented by the president of this organization, Rosalba Giugni.

At the event “BIG BLUE” in Italy in 2011, organized by “PELAGOS la comunicazione del mare”, an award was given to Vesko Mijajlović for “humanitarian underwater demining”, the award was presented by one of the most famous Italian journalists, Giancarlo Manetti.

In Palermo in 2015, Vesko Mijajlović was awarded the prize of the International Academy of Underwater Sciences and Technique (http://www.underwateracademy.org/en). The award was presented by Academy President Sebastiano Tusa and Vice President Pippo Capelano.

In Civitavecchia, Italy in 2023, one of the most authoritative Italian organizations for the protection of the sea “FONDAZIONE PREMIO ATLANTIDE” awarded Vesko Mijajlović the “ATLANTIDA” award for excellence in underwater demining.

In Podgorica in 2017, Vesko Mijajlović was awarded with “THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF MONTENEGRO FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY” award which was presented to him by the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović.

In Bologna, in 2023, on the 30th anniversary of IANTD – International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers awarded Vesko Mijajlović “for exceptional excellence in training divers for technical diving” which was presented to him by the President of IANTD Italy, Fabio Ruberti.
