As clearly expressed by its acronym, which stands for the International Association of Nitrox & Technical Divers, IANTD was the first educational organization in the world to offer courses in nitrox, technical, trimik and rebreather diving, identifying its mission with them during many years of education.
IANTD was founded in the USA in 1985 and was the first educational organization dedicated to teaching nitrox, technical, trimik and rebreather diving.
IANTD was founded in Italy by Fabio Ruberti in 1993 under the name IANTD Italia-Adria, being responsible not only for the Italian territory, but also for all the countries bordering the eastern Adriatic coast, was the first organization to promote these futuristic diving activities in our territory, organizing the first courses for divers and instructors.
